About Us

For about 10 years Andy, the founder of SleepAfloat, lived aboard a restored houseboat in Boston Harbor. He quickly fell in love with the live-aboard way of life ... grilling on the deck, cocktails on the roof at sunset, and being gently rocked to sleep in the evening.

A frequent traveler, Andy grew weary of uninspired, cookie cutter hotels. He also realized that quite often the most fun and funkiest parts of town were right on the waterfront. This realization inspired him to purchase his first boat for fellow travelers to enjoy in 2005.

Now, SleepAfloat has over a dozen boats and is adding more to the fleet as fast as they can be designed and built.
